Terms & Conditions

Services, Bookings & Vehicle Work

Epsom MOT Garage provides MOT testing, servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs, tyre services, body and cosmetic work, vehicle protection and other automotive services as described on this website. Services are subject to availability and may vary depending on the vehicle, its condition and the requirements identified during inspection or diagnosis.

Appointments should be booked in advance where possible. Any quoted price or estimate is based on the information available at the time and may change if additional faults, damage or work are identified once the vehicle has been inspected. We will, where reasonably practicable, discuss any significant additional work or costs with the customer before proceeding.

MOT testing is carried out in accordance with the applicable MOT requirements. An MOT test result does not guarantee the future condition, reliability or safety of a vehicle. Where a vehicle fails an MOT, any repairs required to address the identified issues are separate from the MOT test itself and will be discussed with the customer.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle and contact information and for informing us of any known faults, modifications or relevant circumstances that may affect the work being carried out.

Payments, Estimates & Cancellations

Payment is due for completed services, parts and other agreed work in accordance with the price communicated to the customer. Where the final cost cannot reasonably be determined before inspection or diagnosis, we may provide an estimate rather than a fixed price.

Where additional work is required, we may contact the customer for approval before carrying out work that materially exceeds the original agreed scope or estimate. Parts, specialist work or additional services may result in additional charges.

Customers should provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Cancellation or non-attendance arrangements may apply depending on the service booked and any costs already incurred. Any such charges will be communicated to the customer where applicable.

Any deposit or advance payment, where required, will be subject to the terms communicated at the time of booking.

Responsibility, Parts & Customer Rights

We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill and will use reasonable efforts to complete agreed work within the expected timeframe. However, vehicle repairs and diagnostics can depend on the condition, age and history of a vehicle, and we cannot guarantee that a particular repair will resolve an unrelated or previously unknown fault.

Where parts are supplied as part of our services, they may be new, manufacturer-approved, aftermarket or otherwise agreed with the customer depending on the work being carried out. Any applicable parts or workmanship warranty will be explained where relevant.

Customers remain responsible for removing valuable or personal belongings from their vehicle before it is left with us. We are not responsible for personal belongings left inside a vehicle unless required otherwise by law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable UK consumer law. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The version applicable at the time of booking will normally apply to that service.
